Peer Engagement
Whether you're seeking information about one-to-one mentoring or ready to participate in a virtual peer engagement group, connecting with others with a shared lived experience can be hugely beneficial whatever stage you’re at.
Connecting with Others
Peer Engagement Groups are a great way to connect with others who live with kidney disease. These groups will connect you virtually with other individuals who have experienced the impact of kidney disease and will be facilitated by trained peers who live with kidney disease or are caregivers. These groups accommodate kidney patients at different stages of their kidney journey.
Virtual Peer Engagement Group
Wherever you are on your kidney journey — newly diagnosed with kidney disease, living with reduced kidney function, on dialysis, a transplant recipient — a care partner to a kidney patient or a living organ donor you’ll find an established group that is right for you. See the calendar of available online groups here.
It has never been easier to connect with a group of support. Groups currently meet virtually by phone or through video-conferencing and are facilitated by trained facilitators who live with kidney disease or are caregivers.
Connecting with others who share living with kidney disease can be incredibly beneficial. It offers a sense of community and understanding that may be hard to find elsewhere, as people facing the same challenges can empathize on a deeper level.
